The Original Pancake House DFW Honored our Veterans with a Meal, Giveaway and a $500 Donation

Dallas, TX - November 11, 2016 - The Original Pancake House (OPH) DFW celebrated Veterans Day by providing a complimentary meal to all military service personnel who were in uniform or those who presented their military ID on Friday, November 11th.

"The team at OPH-DFW wishes to express our heartfelt gratitude to all Veterans for their service to our country and this meal was a simple token of our appreciation. We were pleased to see all eight locations across the DFW area filled with military personnel on Veterans Day,” said Kevin Payne, OPH-DFW President.

The Original Pancake House DFW ran a social media contest leading up to Veterans Day in which supporters had the opportunity to win a patriotic handmade quilt. Betty Bailey's generous donation of the quilt encouraged OPH-DFW to make a $500 donation to the War Veterans of the USA for every "Like" received on their page during the contest period.

Amanda Cates, winner of the quilt giveaway, commented, "My husband, Ren Cates, did five tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan. We are so excited to be able to display this quilt in our home.".
